The Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping is looking for an experienced Safety Leadership & Transformation Manager. The right candidate is a change leader and able to drive the standardization and safety leadership of the maritime industry transition.
Your responsibilities
You will be deeply involved in the transformation and lead the technical, operational and risk related safety elements of impactful industry initiatives.
The development of future ship design, port safety framework, human factor including operational practises, risk assessments and operational procedures for the safe handling of alternative fuels must be done in parallel with uptake of new technology onboard vessels and for low carbon fuel production and deployment.
As an examples, we are leading a major industry QRA and safety study on deployment of Ammonia as marine fuel and a ship-to-ship bunkering demonstration and QRA and safety standardization work on alternative fuels.
Reporting to the Head of Onboard Vessel Solutions, your tasks are versatile and will include:
Preferred Experience and competencies
We expect that you have extensive relevant work experience with project and stakeholder management and a background as Master Mariner, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer and/or HSSEQ responsible within marine and/or oil & gas.
