The Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping is a global leader in the transition towards sustainable and environmentally responsible shipping practices. Our mission is to drive the development and implementation of innovative solutions to achieve zero carbon shipping, protecting our planet's future while advancing the maritime industry and we are now looking for a Power conversion & emissions manager to help accelerate the transition towards Zero carbon shipping.

In the Ship technology systems team, we support clarifying technical options for alternative fuel choices and new innovative onboard technologies.

The Opportunity

As our new Power conversion & emissions manager, you will report to the head of Ship technology systems and work closely with the colleagues within Onboard Vessel Solutions: Fleet performance, Ship design and Safety & Operations. With this role, we offer a unique opportunity to direct influence and support the maritime industry in the difficult journey to decarbonization.

You will be responsible for anchoring the Center’s domain knowledge of power conversion systems, emissions and after-treatment systems.  You will work as a fully integrated part of the Center’s strategic ambitions and play a vital role in identifying, analysing and de-risking technology choices for future asset strategies.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Mechanical engineering background or similar who possess a combination of interpersonal, technical, and strategic skills. A person who can effectively convey technical information, build relationships, and contribute to the overall success of Onboard Vessel Solutions department.  Ideally you have some years’ experience working with power conversion solutions, incl. prep and storage systems, and understand how hybrid solutions and the latest after-treatment systems translate into emission values. In addition, you have experience conveying results into industry publications and guidance.

The position is full-time and based in our office in Nordhavn/Copenhagen.
