The Mission

The Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping is a global leader in the transition towards sustainable and environmentally responsible shipping practices. Our mission is to drive the development and implementation of innovative solutions to achieve zero carbon shipping, protecting our planet's future while advancing the maritime industry and we are now looking for a Communications Partner for our newly launched initiative, Katalist.

As a newly launched initiative, we are looking for a skilled Communications Partner to craft and execute a compelling narrative that resonates with diverse audiences, positions us as a leader in the sustainability space, and drives meaningful engagement.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of climate innovation. As Communications Partner, you will be the voice of Katalist—shaping our messaging, building our brand presence, and ensuring that our story inspires action across industries and stakeholders.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement a Communications Strategy: Craft a comprehensive strategy aligned with Katalist's mission and goals to enhance brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee all communication channels, including the website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other materials. Create and curate impactful content that reflects our purpose, drives dialogue around our climate solutions, and inspires action
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for media relations, partnerships, and community-building efforts, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.
  • Lead Digital Presence: Optimize the Katalist website, manage updates, and implement digital tools to engage stakeholders and highlight our initiatives.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams to translate complex concepts into accessible, engaging content that inspires action.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced communicator with a passion for storytelling and the ability to translate bold visions into impactful narratives. Ideally, you recognize yourself in the following description:  

  • Strategic and Creative: You can see the big picture while delivering actionable plans. You’re adept at crafting strategies and love to roll up your sleeves to bring them to life.
  • Digital Savvy: Experience managing websites, optimizing user experience, and leveraging digital tools to enhance engagement. Proficiency in content management systems and basic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Exceptional Storyteller: Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. You have a knack for tailoring messages to diverse audiences and channels.
  • Collaborative Leader: You thrive in a team environment, are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and have experience managing external agencies.
  • Mission-Driven: You’re deeply motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful climate action.

The position is full-time and based in our office in Nordhavn/Copenhagen.
