The Opportunity

Mærsk McKinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping’s core activities span across three Impact Hubs, and the Regulation & Policy Impact Hub is currently looking for a Head of Program to lead the strategic direction and prioritization of activities within the Hub. The Head of Program will be part of the Impact Hub Leadership Team and report to the Chief Impact Hub Officer.

 

Who You Are

To succeed in this role, you must combine a visionary mindset with a flair for regulation, policy and finance. Ideally, you recognize yourself in the following description:   

  • Experienced in setting the direction and strategies for getting international consensus on standards and regulations incl. level of ambition, carbon pricing, global fuel standards etc.
  • Understanding macro-economic drivers impacting trade and markets.
  • Experienced in supporting energy efficiency and uptake of new technologies through demonstrating linkages to green financing and capital investments.
  • Having 10+ years’ experience in Strategic Program Management and Project Management.
  • Ability to translate strategy into impact
  • Experienced within the maritime value chain and/or alternative fuels value chain.

  

What You’ll Do

  • Own Hub value proposition and tactical Hub strategy, including overall Hub priorities and milestones.
  • Structure and run ideation processes in line with Center strategy.
  • Maintain strategic rationale for Hub portfolio of activities, ensuring fit with Hub objectives.
  • Oversee strategic and dynamic resource allocation across projects, ensuring alignment with prioritized Hub initiatives.
  • External spokesperson and stakeholder relations, promoting visibility of Center results.
  • Drive a collaborative, cross-functional culture and be a role model of Center values.
  • People leadership, incl. a team of project managers / assistant program managers / others, as needed.
