We’re a not-for-profit Center dedicated to decarbonizing the maritime industry. Our team unites experts from many fields – engineers, economists, analysts, software developers, and more – who share a passion for making a real difference. We’re based in Copenhagen but collaborate globally. We value collaboration, curiosity, and treating people (and the planet) right.

Who You Are

The right candidate will have a collaborative mindset, a passion for climate action, and natural cultural awareness. To be successful in this role, you need to be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, efficient, a creative thinker, and an independently driven person capable of producing tangible results.

You are currently enrolled in a study program in the Copenhagen Area, either commencing 3rd year of a relevant bachelor’s degree or 1st year of your Master’s. A background in Strategy or Management is a plus, but not a requirement.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who:

  • has an analytical approach with experience in structured problem-solving
  • has experience in conducting analyses and distilling key insights for communication to a broad audience
  • is an expert in MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • has strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Danish is not a prerequisite).
  • has a can-do attitude and willingness to deliver high-quality output in a “start-up” type environment
  • is eager to learn and ability to assimilate new information and new ways of thinking / working
  • is passionate about climate change and climate justice

What You’ll Do

Are you passionate about climate change, sustainability, and ESG? Do you like the idea of working for an organization on a meaningful mission? Are you looking for an opportunity to work in an international environment with global partners? - Then keep on reading!

As a not-for-profit and independent research and development Center we work for the greater good, people, and the planet. You will join an amazing team of engaged, skilled, and ambitious individuals working with great determination. The Strategy & Partnerships team is responsible for developing and operationalizing the Center's strategy, managing a diverse portfolio of partnerships with external organizations, and strategically pursuing funding opportunities. Our team is interdisciplinary and works cross-functionally to contribute to the design and execution of projects and initiatives within the Center. Strategy & Partnerships ensures consistency, clarity, and alignment across all Center activities through clear strategic priorities and continuous development of partner relationships.

Work is more than a job to us. We are deeply motivated by the opportunity to drive a sustainable transition towards a greener future for shipping and combine our deep specialist competencies to create an industry-wide impact.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Assist with ad hoc tasks as part of Center initiatives involving the Strategy & Partnerships team
  • Support preparations (and follow-up actions) for monthly Strategy SteerCos, quarterly Board meetings, annual Strategy Review working sessions, and other leadership meetings
  • Drive and own analyses based on desktop research and distill insights from relevant publications
  • Provide feedback and take part in internal discussions and workshops on strategic issues
  • Develop and maintain databases to track key Center contacts, philanthropic funds, and more
  • Draft project funding applications and facilitate delivery on reporting requirements
  • Organize logistical elements of key partner meetings and internal / external workshops
  • Work closely with teammates, share results with stakeholders, and develop your analytical and communication skills along the way

Why Join Us

We aim for a supportive, friendly environment where collaboration thrives. We’re proud of our mission to guide one of the world’s hard-to-abate industries toward a greener future. You’ll have room to explore, learn, and do your best work – plus, we like to have fun along the way. You’ll join our network of student assistants in our Nordhavn office and work flexible hours (around 15–20 per week) that respect your exam schedule. As you develop your skills with us, you’ll see your work make a genuine impact, gaining hands-on experience in analytics and problem-solving.
