Your current home employer remains your employer during the period in which you perform your contribution to the Center.

Thus, the employer obligations will remain with your home employer including payment of all compensation, salaries, remuneration and costs owed to you as an employee, as well as any social or employment related taxes and all associated costs and expenses.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated Secondee to join our Sustainability Team at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping. The Sustainability team consists of a sustainability partner, a Secondee and a Student Assistant and is anchored within the Data, Insights and Analytics Team; all reporting to the Chief Technology & Analytics Officer. As a Secondee, you will be an integral part of our team, applying your strong analytical skills to conduct meaningful, to-the-point sustainability assessments and analyses. You will play a key role integrating the Center's approach to sustainability within Energy & Fuels related projects, primarily under biofuels and electro-based propulsion.
 

ORGANIZATION AND TEAM

Data, Insights and Analytics Unit > Sustainability Team> Secondee.

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

In this role, you will primarily help to incorporate the Center’s approach to sustainability within the Energy & Fuels Impact Hub of the Center. The Hub advances the maritime decarbonization by providing the knowledge, tools, and partnerships needed to scale sustainable fuels and their supporting infrastructure. Tasks may vary but will for the most part be project based. These will include contributing to the Center's high-level ambitions of providing decarbonization guidance to ship owners & charterers, enabling new sustainable, scalable production streams for FAME, ethanol and bio-methane, and continuously working towards creating and maintaining a world class Center.

CONTENT KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES NEEDED
 
  • Proven experience with and solid understanding of sustainability, renewable fuels, energy systems, and related technologies.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of additional analytical tools considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with clear, effective communication skills; able to simplify complex data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • While prior knowledge of the shipping industry is not required, a genuine interest in maritime sustainability is highly valued.
